APPOINTMENT OF HON. AHMED ABUBAKAR NDAKENE AS MEMBER, ADHOC COMMITTEE ON WELFARE OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES: A GLOWING TESTIMONY TO HIS LAUDABLE CREDENTIALS

The people of Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency have been honoured with early recognition in the House of Representatives, as their Representative, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene  (a first-timer at the National Assembly) was appointed by leadership of the House as Member Adhoc Committee on Welfare. This development has been hailed by many as a sign of good things to come for the Constituency.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila inaugurated Four Adhoc Committees entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring smooth takeoff of the 9th Assembly. The three Adhoc Committees are: 1. the Selection Committee which will oversee the selection of Chairmen and Members of Standing Committees of the House; 2. Welfare Committee which will ensure the general welfare of Members; 3. Media Committee which will be responsible for Media and Publicity; and 4. Rules and Procedures which will map out the itinerary of the House.

Hon. Ahmed's appointment into the Welfare Committee is an affirmation of the age long saying that 'a golden fish has no hiding place'. It equally places on record the astuteness of Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila in spotting credible potentials for a watertight team that could get the job done, and attain success.

The Committees which were inaugurated on the 13th day of June, 2019, are to deliver on their mandates before the 2nd day of July, 2019 when the House is expected to resume fully.
